Heating controls

I suffer from hot air being supplied all of the time from the vents at the top of the dash (not the window demister). If I close them it diverts the hot air to my feet.

Is this a common problem and has anyone solved it?

The air con works but struggles to beat the hot air......

Turn the hot air supply off by pressing the hot knob?

You need to see an indie who can do the factory approved fixes ie block bits off for you.

You can buy plugs to put in these windscreen vents, but I can't remember where from - try the search facility... As far as I'm aware all cerbs push warm air through these vents even when all the heating controls are turned off!!!

Ditto to all of that - constant hot air from those vents regardless of twiddling/pushing/pulling the red knob. Causes a nasty fug on the screen too - makes me wonder where it's sourced from.

I dont get the hot air unless I press the hot button. My car has the approved 'mod'

Thanks for the info. I get hot air with the hot air know turned off. Basically nothing turns the hot air off. If anyone knows a solution that works that will help alot. One of the reasons for getting a cerbie instead of another tvr is that I get hay fever but now I have the windows open all of the time!
