passenger side door

Hi,
I have a '99 chim and the passenger side door open button has stopped working, unless the engine is running!

Very grateful for any suggestions as to cause or possible fixes

If you try to operate it with the engine off, can you hear anything at all? These units seem to tire! I had a similar problem a year ago. It wouldn't work at all, but I could hear trying to do something. I removed the motor unit and doused it liberally with silicone spray. It's been fine since.

Sounds like the solenoid needs the extra volts, WD40 or similar may resolve it for a while but for the take of a tenner and 20 mins I'd replace it.
