As most of you know Perry from The V8 Centre and I took over Marks (TVR-NUT) Tasmin as he was in the unfortunate position of having to sell (some of us have been here and understand how difficult that is).

As so many of you were involved in a possible solution for Mark, I felt it was only right that we keep you posted on developments with the car:

Following discussions with Mark, we decided to have the car collected on a trailer as there was no guarantee it would make the trip, as the car was playing up on the day and unable to get going this was just as well. Having received the Tasmin it is in remarkably good general shape and a credit to Mark and previous owners years of attention and care.

After an afternoon of tinkering and fault diagnosis I am pleased to say Perry managed to get the old girl to fire back to life and was then able to be put in for MOT. Unfortunately the car did fail but only on some relatively minor items considering the age of the car. We hope to get the Tasmin fully serviced/tuned with the MOT failure work completed this week and may possibly be taking her to the Southern Wedge Meet on Tuesday.

Will update further once more info available.

Good work on saving Mark's wedge, it was a really kind thing to do.

Glad to hear that Perry managed to get her started in the end Sean. What did you have to do to her to make her start and run? Sorry to hear that she didn't pass the MOT test Can you tell me what she failed on? If you would prefer not to tell me on here, please can you email me with the details.

Totally disagree Rev - Perry was a spineless moron who could not even do the courtesy of replying to an email I sent after the "incident"

Just imagine the headline "Hooligan smashes powerful sports car into innocent customers cars"

Whilst I do not wish to cause an argument with you cuneus, especially as you put your name down in the original 'save Mark's wedge' thread, was there really any need for that remark?! Yes what Perry did was wrong, but at least he trying to make amends for it by helping me out with his kind offer (that doesn't mean to say though that I have forgotten yours and the others kind and generous offers of help by the way). At the end of the day, surely you can forgiven him and let this go, rather than turn this thread into a slanging match? After all, would you really say no to this if you was in the same situation as me? I would hope not...

I wasn't calling you the villain in my post cuneus. All I was saying was that was there really any need for that remark in your original post about me 'sleeping with the enemy'?? Whilst you are entitled to your own opinion and I agree with you that what Perry did at the aforementioned previous BBWF was wrong, I find the remark VERY insulting and rude, as all Perry and semus are trying to do is help me out. Also all semus was trying to do in his original post was give everybody who was interested an update on what is going on with my previous car, that's all.

It is very sad that this forum occassionally degenerates into haranguing, slagging off, grudge airing and just plain silly arguing - often about very little or nothing, and some people seem to react very strangely to entirely innocent remarks.

I've just cottoned on to what this spat is about, and I thought that it was consigned to history - being as it was 2 years ago.

I think you are all great people - but one or two of you can be quite bonkers from time to time. Maybe some people need a little counselling.

I'm glad to hear that TVRNUT's (Mark) car lives again.

I'm selling my Wedge, but I'm sure I shall miss you all.
