Incoming Engines

Do you pay any taxes or duty on engines coming in from the US?
If so, how much?

Steve, it depends on the value of the engine. To put it in perspective, add about a grand to the cost of a stock 350.

This will cover crating, shipping, Customs&Excise, VAT (you can claim back if you're registered otherwise you will have to apply for a Psuedo TURN - the shippers will handle all this, you just fill in the form and send back) and even delivery to the door.

Incoming engines or parts from the US will attract VAT (17.5%) plus 3% import duty I think.

This will all be payable on the full amount of the goods.
