Driving in Europe - Headlight Stickers

Can I ask please, for those that have taken their Cerb's into Europe, what is the general practice with regard to headlight stickers? Legally I'm sure you must have then, but with the headlights being so small, there is going to be hardly anywhere to stick part of a sticker? Or have i just read the instructions wrong?

Put stickers in boot. Drive during the day.

The headlamp stickers on the lights you have got wont do anything other than make your own visabilty worse!

Chuck em boot incase 'Le Plod' should ask...but in 2 Le Mans trips, I have never even bought a set!

Unfortunately driving during the day is only an option for the return leg, outbound will have to be at night… although late, so hopefully nobody will be around (including Le Plod). Being as my lights are not the brightest at the best of times, I think I will leave the stickers in the boot, and plead forgetfulness if stopped.

You will not have a problem if you have the standard bulbs - and I live here !

On the driving abroad topic

I know you're supposed to have a GB sticker or the plates with the Euro symbol on, but are they strict on the subject ?

If not how would I get on with my Black rear plate & missing front plate ?

I have never bothered with them. Had a set in the boot just in case, but that is where they have stayed.
I have not had a problem with any of the cars/bikes I have taken through Europe.

I have always stuck a small 'George Cross' sticker on the end of my rear number plate (similar to the new 'Eurostyle' plates u see nowdays) and never had any problems.

My front plate is very small 10"x3" approx and again not had probs here in UK or abroad yet! But I do carry original in boot and say I forgot to put it back after last track day officer! ..(small plate needed this time of year for added airflow!)

Cant comment on rear plate, other than some older cars abroad had black plates...(bit like here in UK)...(think its only legal on a car in UK pre '74 IIRC)...but not being illuminated is something I wouldnt know about.

For the newer headlight pods, I am not sure that the original settings are that biased to begin with. I can't imagine the directional tuning to be that accurate on a Tiv anyway!
