i know this has probably been asked many a time now but im having overheating problems
last monday tuesday was getting water temp warning, car using a fair bit of water, wednesday the radiator burst, have now fitted radiator and a new oil pressure sender which needed done anyway,
it does not seem to be going through as much coolant as before but im still getting high temprature readings, of 98c-112c at standstill in traffic when warmed up, on the move at 40 mph + getting 96c-103c
as well as that noticed about 8 head cover bolts loose, one with a bit of oil coming out, so all tight now
both fans appear to be coming on, not sure at what temp though.
and the car seems to run much smoother higher up the revs
iv thought maybe getting some of that coolant system flushing jobby but it might just be air, what is the best proceedure for bleeding the system?
and any ideas what else to try? dont want my new rad. to go pop aswell.
thanks folks

mine was really bad before bleeding, been fine since.
there are two allen screws, one each side of radiator in the aluminium pipe,no need to full remove just undo and let the air out.
i had various different ways put to me on how/when to do this but generally seemed start off with a cold engine, heater open and then turn engine over after each bleed to allow air to reach bleed points.

Yes please - me to, I wouldn't mind the second tank.

I think mine was about 150 quid, and that included fitting at the factory whilst I waited (whilst having the pleasure of talking to the girls on reception
). I'm sure the factory/Power could source you a kit though...
