MK1 GT3

My ABS light is staying on after start up sometimes about (1 time in 10 starts)

Often switching the ignition off and back on again will put the light off

Anyone got any ideas ? could it mean the pads are nearing the end of their life maybe ?

Hi, had same issue with my ABS and PSM light. Took to OPC Reading. Turned out to be a switch conected to the brake pedal. I've got a 996 C2 2000.

mine did that after an emergency stop. it can only be a sticky switch. dont sweat it if the car is still shedding speed when you need it most.

Pads can be eliminated, they have their own seperate wear indicator light.

Could be a connection at the abs sensor or the sensor is beginning to fail.

I'm in the midlands

My car is a year 2000 gt3 so maybe it's suffering from the same sticking pedal switch as the C2 mentioned above - most of the time it's fine - just ever now and then it has a fit !

Thanks for the replies
