Big people on board...

Just a curiosity chaps - noticing the current buyers guide thread, and the clashes over who can or can't fit in the back of a Cerbera....
Just surmise, as I haven't had a chance to explore the idea, but have a suspicion that the rear seats are more usable in the earlier cars (before they got the Tuscan seats). I agree wholeheartedly that the rear is a squeeze, but in fairness, I regularly used to travel three up, with the rear person crammed in behind the passenger. There was enough room to squeeze knees round the seat backs (if you sat well down in the seat) which made it tolerable - no I'm not saying you'd want to cross continents, but my cousin who measures the same as myself at six two was content in there for the 45 minute drive to and from the station on several occasions.
As I say, simply wondering....

It must be the make up of the human body. I've just tried sitting behind the passenger seat in mine & I can't do it. The right knee is ok, but I can't shut the left door because of my left knee.
I've got the passenger seat as far forward as poss, the only way I can get my knee in the car, is by putting the passenger seat "bolt upright", you definitely wouldn't want to be sat in it.
That said "I'm all legs"
I was in there all of two seconds & felt very sick / claustrophobic, you also need to get your head behind the roll bar, potentially lethal I would imagine

Well my misses was in the back of my 4.5 2000 LW and there wasn't enough headroom and she's only 5'5". Her knees needed to be pushed to one side as the passenger seat needed to be as far back as it would go (due to a rear facing baby seat).
As you say, maybe something to do with the Tuscan seats which are in mine. Not too sure if the rears are different between the originals and the LW models?

hi im 14 and i only just fit into the back of my dads big squeeze even though im only about 5-2 ish but i have found away of workin yourself in
when you are getting in the back make sure the passenger is already in the front with there seat fully forward and make sure they are slightly tilted forward so you can allow your knees to get in but dont try this if youve got a bad backand then when your in the back shut the door and let the front passenger go back a bit
and if you still dont fit, just lie across both of the seats in the back and the little arm rest bit and WALA a cerb lounger!!
