slack clutch pedal...help

the clutch pedal on my 4.5 Cerb has recently aquired about an inch of slack, then two days ago the car refused to select any gear when cold, seems better after a while. any idea's ? heard it may be slave or clutch. oddly, sometimes it works fine, im baffled.

When my seals went recently I lost the entire pedal all of a sudden, it went straight to the floor. Was it hot when this happened (probably a silly question at the moment ) you might have just boiled it all which makes things go odd - check your clutch fluid and top up if neccesary and bleed off the system, you will probably be ok if it is coming and going like that.

Usual caveat applies in that I am a bit of a mechanical numpty........(but learning as I go).

taking it to TorqueRVT on friday and leaving it with Ian for a week.
brakes squealing driving me mad, so hopefully all ok when i get it back.

My master cylinder decided to leak recently. Have you checked clutch fluid levels? With mine, once it was filled up the clutch worked properly again and then I drove it to APM where it was fixed.

didnt want to mess around under the bonnet, to be honest. i will probably wait now until Ian at TorqueRVT has it next week.
