MOT brake test
Discussion
Took the Chim for its MOT the other week. MOT tester said that as its got a limited slip diff cannot check the brakes on the rolling road as it could damage the diff.
For the brake test he put some archaic looking bit of kit in the passenger footwell which measures the G force when he braked hard; at 20mph!
A rather prititive way of doing it, but if thats what it has to be.....
I wonder whether all MOT testers are aware of this?

For four years they put my car on the rollers. This year, same MOT station, they said it had to have the test drive. I think the new Dept of Transport (or whatever it is) computer system/software for MOT's flags up a particular cars' anomalies. And for all the prospective owners/doom mongers worrying about reliability issues etc. It's passed every MOT first time
