Just popped the bonnet to invetsigate leaves and radiator etc and saw this. The link below has a photo. Standing in front of the raised bonnet/hood and peering between nosecone and the raised bonnet you see the shrouds covering the radiator and air inlet etc. On the extreme left is some wiring rising from the engine bay to the bonnet assembly. Mine is disconnected. My assumption is that Mechspray removed the hood the other week when they resprayed it and forgot to reconnect this wirng. So anyone know what it does? Could it contributing to my sudden rise in engine temp?

Its the under hood/bonnet lamp. Connect it up and you should see the lamp at the bottom of the hood on the passenger's side light up.

Dah, ah yu that wud explain why the light wasnt on. Ta. Shame it wanst an engine tempeature control sensor thingie though
