Still in the oily stages so far, but i'm hoping it'll last the distance.

One would think that a track halfway between Christchurch and Dunedin would be best, close to 2 population centers, etc...

Is there not one out that way already?

Or some old ex military airfield you can use?, they seem to be a dime a dozen around here...

Levels is about two hours north, but that is still two hours of chance/risk if your racecar is the car you're driving to and back from the track.

I have never understood why Dunnos has never had a track in the first place! Am sure it would get plenty of support. If Levels and Invercargil on each side just survives, am sure Dunedin would be fine...? Anyway ill support them Perhaps they could have a hilly course like Bathurst, instead call it "the Kilmog" is that its name sp?

That would be great if it wernt too late to move the location.

Good Stuff at some stage when I have some spare time I'll look at some maps/aerial photos and play around trying to make a track somewhere on them.

don't tell anyone, but I did have an idea about making a kindof southern hemisphere Nurburgring, using a 20km-ish loop of road around whare flat/3 mile hill/silverstream valley roads, would need to seal the fun gravel though. Actually you could tell someone, especially if they're gonna build it

Yeah man, that would be awesome. We'd have to have it longer than the 'Ring though, just for showoffmansships sake.

Updated with all the pages its likely to have (until i think of more) and a (hopefully working) feedback submission form. I say hopefully, because i made it myself. But it works on one of my other sites so...

On pages without content i tried adding a bit of my humour, so you may or may not want to see each one.

Okay, it now has a new name (url stays the same) and doesn't emphasise the whole 'we need a racetrack' thing as much anymore. Any suggestions, let me know.

Article in the paper today - Queenstown mirror - about a new circuit at Cromwell. Called Central Motorspedway. Some trust has agreed terms to buy the land from Central Otago District Council - guy called Jim Boult involved. Will be behind existing track and 'should be good enough' for NZ V8s and around 8 high profile events every year, including motorcycle and classic.

Consultation with residents next!

Oh, they've changed the name then. A year or more ago there was an article about it in the ODT and it was called Cromwell Motorsport Park. Will be awesome to have another racetrack, especially a brand new on in the South Island.
