Leaky doors

Got out to my Cerb this morning, which had been parked outside ovenight, to find the bottom of the door cards damp, just under where the speakers are mounted in the front door.

The carpets weren't wet, so there's not a huge amount of water coming in, but i'd like to stop it.

Has anyone had a similar leak, or has anyone got any ideas where I should be looking??

Try checking the seals around the windscreen. Mine was leaking through the seal at the bottom of the windscreen on the driver side, and water was coming in over the dash, down the gap between the dash and the door, and ending up in the footwell. I re-sealed, and all's well and dry now.

It could be that you only have a small break in the seal.

Failing that, I guess you could check your doorseals.

Mine were damp like this cos of the mastik around the brake thing (is it an inspection cylinder ?) in the right wing - new mastik and all o.k.

I've just had the same problem, my car did have a small gap in the windscreen seal but more importantly the water was sitting in the bottom door seal, the gap in the seal fills up & the water overflows on to your door panel.

You could pop a rivet in the outer seal, to make the water drop in to the outlet gap, thus stopping it gathering.
