360 at the Nurbugring
Discussion
Hello
I have just bought a half share in a 360 with a friend to be used mainly for trackdays and some fun road miles. He picked it up on the weekend and I went for my first drive today - what a great car. We are planning to do a "shake down" trip or track day this month and perhaps a few sensible mods before our first trip to the Ring next month. The main use for the car will be driving to and from the Ring and track time once there.
Does anyone have experience of driving a 360 at the Ring or sensible mods for track days? We have both previously tracked M3s/911s so any information would be helpful
Thanks

You've seen the thread above. Amar was on his third lap. From what I've been told the 360 is not an easy car at the Ring, the track is too bumpy. Be careful.
My suggestion if you want to do a lot of Ring time is start off learning the 360, perhaps at somewhere like Bedford with run off. May also be worth learning the Ring in cheap fully caged up Ring prepared three series BMW with local professional tuition plus scuderia hanseat course etc.

Wish I'd seen this thread before I went.
I consider myself lucky for coming back alive, having witnessed Corrado have a massive crash on my 9th lap (of ten) and nearly had a huge incident myself earlier in the day caused by coolant on the track. Luckily I was in the Elise and it's so good I was able to hold it. Any other car I fear I wouldn't be typing this...
