Does anyone have any ideas of how to keep dust out of my case?

I've got one of these fellas:

But there are no places to add dust filters and since I have a hard wood floor, it fills up within days with dust. It also affects my cooling with the heatsink being less efficient and the temperature rising about 5C-6C.

Any ideas?

HTH

Putting it on the desk will cut down the amount of dust it swallows. Not ideal but it helps.

You reckon I could use it as a selling point.

Athlon PC
Squillions of RAM
K&N Induction kit
3 inch rollers
Tinted Window
Neon Light system...

Unfortunately putting it on the desk isn't possible

I was thinking about buying a roller wheel kit as that lift it off the floor by 2 inches but it's quite expensive and I don't want to buy it if it doesn't make any difference. What do you think?

use some thin foam velcroed to the inside of the case where that long vent is. Are there fans behind the 2 square vents on the side? If so remove fan and put square of thin foam in place and re-attach fan (you might have to make a small stand off for the fan). The foam will slow the airflow so you need to make sure its thin enough to allow flow but also stop dust. Pick a dark colour so you can't see it from outside. If the foam is fairly transparent it should stop most dust but still let the airflow ok.

Don't for get to check temps before and after any airflow mods just in case

Mine's got blue neons

As we're using car analogies here why not stick her up on bricks first and see if it helps?

Just found this: www.chieftec.de/?page=products_big&id=242&k_id=4&language=uk

Although I'm worried about overheating. I run my fans very slow to avoid noise (thing that bugs me the most in PC's). I've got a feeling if I start adding meshes, the case will start getting noisy as I'll have to turn up the fans to get the same airflow.

Nothing is ever simple!

Er, experiment with a couple of reams of A4?
