Unbudgeted cost of ownership!!
Discussion
A few months ago, after being persuded to 'have a go' in one of my brothers (Hoges 11) 'fleet' of cars, i caught the bug.
He even offered me the car at a 'brotherly' price, AND would service the car for me.
The tough part was the negotiations with my better half!
"wont fit on the drive", "what do you want another car for?" etc....etc...
My arguments that it was a great deal and an 'investment' did little to convince her.
So..... a few extra meals, shopping trips, presents and i got the nod. total cost...an extra £1,000 on my budget!
So...it arrived...mmmmmmmm
lots of time invested polishing and cleaning (more gifts needed to make up for not doing my chores)
Then the bombshell...."youve got a toy...cant I have one?" "i've seen a cute Figaro on ebay. I tried her argument "wont fit on the drive", "what do you want another car for?" etc....etc... , but didnt work.
So... the cost..... another £5,000.
My £10,000 'great deal' has so far cost me about £17,000!
