Looks like this may well be my route to work soon, does anyone use this route to work, if so how long does it take you in the morning?

I live in Ashford which is by J1 of the M3. The motorway is usually clear in the morning, and as long as you are not going too close to Feltham town, the roads are usually ok there.

AA say the trip should take 45mins, so allow an hour and a bit I would say.

I live in feltham and the traffic is not bad till you get a bit further down the A316 (what the M3 becomes after J1) so unles you have to go further then whitton you will be fine. You might hit a bit of traffic just before the M25 but you should miss it if you stay to the right

Be ready for traffic jams starting anywhere between Fleet Services and the M25. There's often a jam from junction 4a of a Monday morning. I live in Basingstoke and used to commute to Ashford which usually took about 45-50 minutes when leaving Basingstoke at 8am. Feltham should take about the same time. Its not too bad a journey, just think yourself lucky that you're not having to go to Hounslow - that could take another 20 minutes to cover the last 4 miles !

Thing is, it currently takes me anything from 35 - 50 minutes to drive the 7.5 miles from Surbiton to Feltham so it sounds like shouldnt take much longet to drive 30 miles!
