I found this on another forum I frequent to, I was wondering whether you (Madcop or anyone) had anything to say..........

On my way home work just after midnight, i was sat at a set of lights, when opposite me this car comes flying down the road and crashes straight into the lampost, the back end of the car going about 5' in the air.

I go straight over to offer my assistant to find 2 young lads climbing out the car, without any serious injuries thankly, badly shuck up but nothing more serious than that. Another boy racer showing off to his mate.

It is always these type of people that get away with it and end up hurting other people, and seem to get away with murder, but not on this occasion.

The lad who was driving is 17, 18 at most, he has no tax, no MOT, no insurance and to top it all off no licence. And as if that wasnt enough we had been drinking as well, he told me he had at least 5 pints. After the ambulance crew had finsihed with him, he was put straight in the police car and taken away.

He also has a job as a mecanhic as well which was reliant upon him getting his licence so he could recover vehicles, me thinks he wont be having a job soon either.

Some people.

I know of a certain lad who was due an inheritance from his grandparent when he reaced the age of 18, however at the age of 15 he persuaded his parents to give him the money.
By the age of 16 (sixteen) hes had 15 different cars!!!!!! the last one being an M3 which he duly rolled into someone's front garden with his mates on board too. needless to say the day he gets his provisional license he calmly informed me his license will say banned on it. Thing is how come some people think this is OK??? this is scary to think this happens...Im sure the plod on here have a few stories to tell

Thats pretty reckless id say.
But how bout an ex employer who hires a mechanic(spotty kid) who has no driving license, and then allows the said yoof to drive customers cars around the streets, effectively negating the company insurance policy?
Think im joking dont ya....i aint.
This actually occured in 2001 at the place i had been working.
I got fired and the service manager(prick) took this kid on to do my job, with predictable consequences.
Kid was obviously of the attention deficit syndrome type, as hed done the front pads on this volvo440, then backed it out the shop, and went pissing off up the street like a ..err..boy racer dare i say .
Care to take a guess at what happened 20 seconds later anyone?
My oh my, you are so good at this game guys.
Yup he forgot to pump out the pads before driving it, came to the juction at the top of the street and arggg no brakes!
Into the side of a parked clio and did 4k of damage to both motors....
Predictably, mr service manager(prick) tried to put the blame on da kid, who got all his mates down to hammer da service manager.
Oh the joys of the motor trade...laff? You bet i did.
