From the pics of smashes on this site, I don't think the sides holds up very well,

Fronts, backs & flip overs seem ok, but not the sides.

I may be wrong...

No car is very srong from the side..

There is no way to make 4 to 6 inches of vehicle as strong as 3 to 5 feet of car.

Unless you buy a 4x4 - at least then you are so high up that side ons are not at head or torso level (unless hit by another 4 x 4).

Standard ractice with even a hint of back pain.

How familiar that road is.

That's where I ckilled my last Cerb. However I did it with no one else invoved. Has a vey bad history, dodgy roundabouts with diesel spills and 3 lanes used by all traffic in both directions. Very unsafe.

Hope the people concerned are ok.
