Wind noise - windscreen / roof join
Discussion
Hi,
I seem to have the doors well sealed now, windows nicely adjusted. But whenever I'm on the motorway doing around 70-80 there's a significant amount of noise from the join by the windscreen & roof.
I give the roof a good tapping when I put it on to ensure it's as well sealed as possible but I always seem to get this noise. Does anyone have any hints or tips to get a better seal? Or, is there a better one I can replace the existing one with?
Also - when the roof and windows are all up I get a flippin gale coming in the car by the accelerator! I've not had a careful look, and I don't think it's from a vent (Thats on the left isn't it?)
Thanks

Check the carpet hasn't come unstuck around the edge of the door opening, mine was and let in air while on the move.

Thanks, I'll check that tonight.[/quote]
I get this too, worked out its coming from the area of the bottom front of the door - hard to be precise as it only happens at speed. I too will be checking my carpet. Nice breeze in the summer , frostbitten calf in winter.

You beauty! I have been getting this mysterious gale for days - its been driving me nuts.
When I looked closely, sure enough, all of the TVR precision-applied
glue on the carpet in front of the door had let go. I re-stuck it with some Thixofix (God, I love the smell of that stuff
), and Robert's your Relative - the gale's gone! Seriously - thanks for the advice.

Glad to be of assistance.
