Remote mounting rubber bushes

I have noticed that the four gearbox rubber mounting anti-vibration bushes for the remote have perished.

The big donut one is OK though.

I have tried TVR carparts and Rimmers and nobody seems to be able to get hold of them. Anybody got anymore ideas?

Are superflex or polybush jobbies available???

Mike - i got mine from Rimmers nearly a year ago Part Number UKC854Poly. Let me know how you get on.

If no joy Ive got a feeling I have 4 left, as I didnt fit the front ones as they were a nightmare to get at and the rubber ones were okay as there is a lot less strain on them!

I have to clear the garage out at the weekend so I could have a look then!

Just had a look at Superflex website and TR7/8 gear box remote housing replaced by part number spf0355- www.superflex.co.uk/SuperFlex_Triu

I was planning on turning some up from black acetal: no vibration damping but what the hell

Some-one used some bits of old copper tubing. I don't think they do anything for vibrations anyways, it's all coupled through the big steel bolts.

Also how many are there altogether on the box / remote??? Excluding the big donut mount.

I think there are eight bushes? Not sure I didn't do the job myself. I bought eight on advice that I needed them. There garage only fitted four??
They are of the black rubber variety and are currently somewhere between here and your house courtesey of the Royal Mail.
