Rear tyres for the 18 inch spiders.
Discussion
I have Goodyear F1's at the moment and got bout 2.5 - 3 mm left on them.
Only had the car a month so havent experienced any other tyres.
Price from dealer for replacements are £130 each fitted.
Is this a standard price?
Special offer at my local tyre place on Bridgestone potenzas £100 a tyre fitted.
Does anyone use bridges and how do they compare to F1's?
Also the bridges are a Y rating --- F1's are Z rating does it really matter? as i can't see myself taking her over 150 very often (Probably never)
cheers

Nick,
Stay with the F1s. The Bridgestones are probably SO3s and I've not seen many good things written about them. The F1s are excellent, and the price seems quite fair.

You still need the rating for your car, the tyres are also made to stand the corners/braking stress of a 180mph car. You can fit higher rated tyres though.
I agree, Bridgestone Potenza SO3s will be too hard. If the tyres being offered are Potenza RE040 or similar then I do know they work well on Subarus and similar cars.
Best tyres are F1s or Toyos. I run F1s and have no complaints.
You should be able to get them for around £110 a corner inc. VAT fitted.

The Goodyear F1 (and Toyo Proxy's) are made from nice, soft rubber, excellent for handling and grip - if you go for S03s or similar, they are made from corner unfriendly harder rubber compound - I personally would not feel comfortable driving on such hard tyres, as I know I would be more likely to end up in a hedge, or worse, due to less traction, which also means poorer braking. I may be talking rubbish, but I had S03's on my Chim, and traction was not the best.
