Wonder how much its going to be at renewal...

Not too many cars made and I know of two total losses. Not good for premiums.

My Sagaris is about £850 with Privilege. 36 years old with full NCB and other cars insured with them.

Value of the vehicle will make a difference. a £55k Sagaris is going to be a lot more to insure, esp. in the first year due to new-for-old etc. If you can say the car is worth £39,995 I bet the quotes will come down.

See, one good thing about depreciation.

Nice one, so my car drops £15k but at least the insurance is £200 quid cheaper. I guess you're a glass is half full kind of guy.

Think I paid £800 with Allianz Cornhill via A Manning. Well done for getting a quote out of Privilege, most of the mainstream companies I talked to said either TVR what ? or TV what ? or just no. Moral, stick to the experts

You can't avoid the depreciation but you might as well save a few bob.

Anyway, your car doesn't depreciate until you come to sell it. It is worth £50k until then to you

John - try A Plan, A Manning or Competition Car Insurance (CCI) - all know the marque, cover modifications such as Nitrons, are good to speak to and know what they are talking about. The latter 2 offer track day cover, the former the cheapest of the quotes I had on my Tuscan but no track days. I tried app 15 other insurers and quotes ranged had a 200% range from lowest to highest!

I will finish up with either Mannings or Sunninghil...I suspect.

I do however expect the premium to go through the roof, and be way above that of other S6 cars - due to the build to write off ratio.

£700 last year. Expecting £1200+ this year and no change in my circumstances.

Thanks for pointing out the silver lining Targa. I was just being a wise guy. Just read your philosophy statement on depreciation and believe me I'm realistic about it having burned through more residual value than most. Don't tell the wife though, she thinks I always turn them at a profit...
