Hey all
I know this topic has kinda been done to death but i have searched and cannot find anything on this specifically so here goes................

1999 Chim 400 12500miles of which i have done 2500

It starts find and idles. Once you start driving it is fine for the 1st half mile or so then starts stalling whenever you depress the clutch. The only time it doesnt stall is if you have crawled very slowly and depressed the clutch again.
With any other car i would have said this was the speed pulse into the ECU has gone faulty but im trained with Fords NOT TVR's so i thought i would put it out to opinon.
The car has been regularly serviced by TVR or approved specialist. I have checked HT leads and plugs, it has fuel but i am yet to clean the idle stepper motor.

Hope someone can help!!!

That's where I'd start, Quick 10 minute job will tell, if you have to look somewhere else.

I suggest you try a product called Asta3000. It removes carbon build up. I generally avoid such stuff but this works very well.

Tested it first on a Cav with 140K miles.

(almost) certainly the stepper motor and an easy job. Despite what you may be told I don't think this is always checked at service.

Fixed it!!!! Stepper motor it was. After 5 miles the ECU realised it was working properly again and now no more stalling!!!!
