BT engineer needed.
Discussion
Broadband is such a faff for us country folk! I recently signed up for 1mb broadband with Tiscali and have had problems ever since. The main one being they failed to reognise that our line has a DACS and they dont seem to have a clue what a DACS is. The result is tht we are now recieveing broaband internet at dial up speeds.
I need to speak to a BT engineer, because there is no reason for the DACS being there, but their hotline drives me mad. Anyone know of any direct lines to BT engneers? Or even better, any friendly BT engineers in the Norwich area who would like to help me out!

The DACS should have been removed before your line was provisioned. In theory I shouldn't work at all with a DACs on the line as you need a full single line for your DSL.
Your ISP's tech support line should do all the fault reporting to BT Wholesale for you as it's their job, I know its a pain but get back on the phone and give them hell, or ask to speak to a senior or manager.
BTW frown on speaking to "Joe public"
