Hi guys,

anyone any experience in purchasing a car from Fernies with their new detailed workshop report? How does this report look like and what kind of things are reported? What is the usual condition of these cars? Was the report correct and a good help in getting things sorted out?

Thanxx in advance.

Fred

No idea what their workshop report is like, but I'll certainly give Fernies a recomendation. They're top guys, very honest and their cars are very well prepared before sale.

it always pays to have an independent opinion though.

From experience, get an independent inspection.

If you buy a car privately, do you ask the owner if he could tell you what is wrong with the car and take his word for it?

Hell no, get it independantly inspected.

Many thanks for your replies. By the way, I was trying to contact Fernies via mail before to get detailed information of their reports but didn't get an answer at all.

Hi Fred,
If you can pick up the phone and speak with Drew or Simon i'm sure they will look after you, i found their service first class.

Bought my Griff there and didn’t feel very looked after once they had my money. They certainly lost the chance of selling me the next one. Think things may have changed a little on the prep front since I got mine.
