Original price of 4.3 ?

I'm putting together a sort of show Sheet for the car - based on one I saw in one of the cars at the Chatsworth meet.
Does anyone know the Original cost of a 4.3bv - or a 4.3 because I think the BV was a +£2k cost option. Oh, and without full leather which I think was the only other cost option.

£27,206.73 as written according to my copy of the article in performance car mag 1992. Full leather at an extra £1480 and mettalic paint an extra £279. And it they put it up against the Maserati Spyder and Porshe 968....no contest eh!!

Oh that price was for the standard 4.3 BYTW

Hi...yup 57 litres apparently. Checked out your profile....I have a 92 mica blue 4.3...not a big vavlve though. I have a friend just moved near Nottingham so next time I'm up will give you a shout if youre around.

The official TVR price list dated July 1991 shows the following for the 4.3 engine ...

Ex Factory £22228.48
Car Tax £1852.37
Vat £4214.15
Total £28295.00

Late in 1992 the price dropped to £26118 due to the removal of car tax

There is no official price mentioned for the BV option.
