have been told by people in the trade that the carlube oil as recomended in handbook aint up to much,so what is ,and how often does it need checking ?

Carlube Triple R for me but that's mainly because it's what TVR Power puts in during its services.
If it's good enough for TVR Power then it's good enough for me...

peeps, I have just passed the 6k mark and am still
on normal! oil and not synthetic ? of any kind

Whats the mileage range that oils should be switched!

Al Melling recommends high quality mineral oil 15w50 - that's what my S6 Cerb has been running on since it's re-build at TVRCraft and it seems excellent, especially at start-up when cold.

So who did the 6,000 mile service? Surely it was a main dealer so ask them about the oil they used....

my t350 has just had 6000 mile service, dealer used mobil fully synthetic 5w 40

when i purchased my '04 Tam, has only done 4k and the dealer
ran it through the 6k services, so I guess I should look into
going to synthetic now...
