consolidating web & domain hosting?
Discussion
Currently I have 4 active domain names with web hosting, one of which needs a MySQL DB to run.
They are spread across different domain & web hosts, I'm hoping to "consolidate" them all into one provider.
Is this possible, or even sensible? it would make the payment easier - to one source.
My first thought was get myself a reseller account as I'll probably need more domain names etc. A side benefit I would guess would be that I could sell off names hosting to friends etc to lay off some of the price But I'm not too keen on the "reseller" idea.

If you're not to keen on becoming a reseller, than just don't
It's a PITA for those who aren't serious about making a business about it.
The 4 sites you have, are they all 'important' or is there one site in particular that's more important than the Rest...
I ask as the VDS Pro we sell (click the banner in the top!) Supports One Primary site, with unlimited Virtual Sites (this just means the FTP / Mail / Webmail servers are all in the name of the primary site, but you can have as many other sites on the same space / resources / using MySQL (unlimited Databases) as you like but they don't have the full functionality of the primary site)
An alternative is just buy 4 VDS's (from £33 a yr! so not exactly expensive)

Tempting Jamie as one of the domains is already on your books
One question though., with this VDS and virtual domains option.
Say I have 1 "important site" and 3 virtual ones... that bit is easy, the thing I'm not clear on is how the email addresses for each domain work?
Will I still be able to use say:
info@domain1.co.uk
personal@domain1.co.uk
sales@domain2.co.uk
guff@domain3.com
etc..
As each domain has several email addresses "attached" to with them.
/makes a change for me to be asking numpty questions

Yes, the virtual domains make use of the Register1 Redirection service, so you can have unlimitednames@virtualdomain.com and they will just forward whereever you want.
ie
bob@virtualdomain.com ----> bobvirtual@primarydomain.com
bob@virtualdomain2.com ----> bobvirtual2@primarydomain.com
Hope this makes sense
As mentioned, the alternative is simply to buy a VDS for each domain (bulk purchase discounts apply)
