Urgent help needed!

On Hols in south of France with Griff 4.0, he has lost brake lights, can someone please advise which fuse is responsible, or any other means of a quick fix?
1992 Griff 4.0 pre cat model.

Maybe worth looking at brake light switch on top of brake pedal in footwell... if anything like my Chimp, quite exposed and easy to dislodge wires etc

..or check the bulbs? (easy option first) on more than several occasions on here that has been the solution.

I'm very surprised nobody has answered this yet.

According to the bible there are 2 possible Griffith 4.x fuseboard layouts.
The brakelight fuse is different on them, so the one you are after is either 5th from right (10A Speedo/Brake/Reverse) or 4th from right (15A Wiper and brake light)

The fuse 3rd from right may help to determine which you should be looking at. It is either (15A Horns) or (10A Interior light & horn) respectively.

thanks baretti, its been alaugh folling a griff tits out on mountain passes with no brake lights, damn them old men's cars can handle, cerb just cant corner as quick.

When I lost the brake lights on my 500 it was a bad connection in the wiring multiblock in the body behind passenger seat (behind carpet flap)

I've copied the fuseboard layout from the handbook, blew it up to A4, laminated it and that sits behind the carpet access piece in the passenger footwell. Proved useful on more than 1 occassion.

Hi, Griff 4.0 here logged in on Cooky's PC. Thanx for all the replies, especially bareti - it was the fuse and it was the 15A 4th in from the right. All up and running now, just gotta keep that nutter in the cerb behind me! I like the idea of keeping a laminated copy of the fuse layout in the car - I'll do that when I get home.
