Could try disconnecting the battery for 60 seconds or so.
When I first got my Chim the alarm did not respond to the fob.
I new the fob was working as I have access to loads of test equipment at work.
So I disconnected the battery for 60 seconds or so, then reconnected and everything has
been fine since.
Just a thought.
