Am looking to move at the moment actually from central town to Locks Heath/Warsash/Whiteley/Titchfield Common area. Fed up parking the hoover outside

I met a guy with a Cooper green V8S when visiting 'Aladdins Cave' last year and he was very local to Bursledon. Don't think he's on here though.

Mungo Just had a couple of pints in the 'Jolly' and said to Jackie 'I understand you know Mungo' - she just giggled :d

Cheers

Graham do you mean they do 'off menu' dishes
for natives .
As I 've been there quite a few times and have noted that when there is a large chinese party in they have a seperate menu card and dishes that you would not recognise.
Either way, the food served is definately the best chinese on the south coast IMHO.
Mungo suprised you haven't taken any of your lady friends there, it must be walking distance to you if you're on Hunts pond, or is it too close to home for comfort

The food at Kams Palace is quite good, probably better than the average Chinese in the South, but still a bit Anglicised if you are into Oriental cuisine. A good indicator is that lots of local Chinese seem to use the place, but as you have observed there is the issue of double standards

Mungo - PHantastic idea. I would certainly be up for a meet at Kams or elsewhere. Can't do anything this week as am off to Germany (hence typing this at 06:52). Plus the Tiv is back at Peninsula having a few mods. Hope to get her back next week somewhat quieter and a little quicker

Have a good week all

Cheers

Hi all - i would be up for a meeting around Park Gate somewhere. Either that or a blast out to a country pub such as The Farmers Home in Durley, or the pub on the road to Botley from Park Gate (by the river)

Graham - so its you that drinks in the Sailer with the S series, I am down there fairly often and often get my mates saying to me there was a nice S series parked up outside.

More than happy to meet up for a pint/pie at somewhere like the C&H. Not so sure the Kams is the place to meet up as it can get seriously expensive if you have a drink fest whilst eating and we may spoil someone else's romantic meal out .
Perhaps we could combine it with a serious blat up our favourite roads before the summer starts and the numpties take over. Let me know what the pref is for chaps.

sounds good to me. Guess some proposed dates would be in order. Next weekend is the Sunday Hants TVRCC region meet which is heading to the bear and ragged star in Timsbury (romsey). We could join up with that, have a blast out there and back and then a pint at the Talisman or something? just a thought

BTW - talking of the Jolly Sailor, does anyone know a great deal about lowford as an area? Going to have a look at a nice house over there but it seems too cheap - is the area a bit cacky or something?

mungo said: YES it's "cacky" - Kids are a nightmare there and run riot and cause a fair bit of trouble and vandalism - Have a friend who lives there who has had trouble (fence kicked down, her friend went out to stop them and got beaten up etc) but I'm sure the WHOLE of Lowford isn't that bad!

Won't be able to do anything this month as it's a bit jam packed but March I should be available for a w/e get together!

no worries - lets fix up a date in March then. Thought that may be the case with Lowford. Supposed to be having a look at the place tonight but price would suggest its not that great! Intergral garage though so i dont have to think about the TVR being vandalised. hmm

David - the more the merrier. I am hoping to come along next sunday (sorry, did mean weekend after next!) now the TVR is back on the road.

Phil, if its that one then I'm very worried. That picture is my car outside TMS with the previous owners plate on it.

The plate was kept by TMS when they sold the car on to David Geralds - I then put another suitable plate on it.

It's either a clone or my cars been knicked by the previous owner whilst I'm working down here in NZ.

I just thought your descrption sounded uncanny.

no need to worry then JSG

to be honest, I didnt pay that much concentration on the numbers as itw as a fleeting glance. That is a hell of a coincidence though! Unless the dealership stuck the plate on another S they sold...
