Public Ignorance

Had a discussion with a building site agent today when he made a sarcastic comment in public that "ha ha one of our TVR's broke down as soon as we got of the ferry at St Malo on Friday past, his observation was, that the engine bonnet was up and we were waiting for rescue"
In reality we were waiting on the rest of our group disembarking and 1 of us was taking his roof panel off and putting it into the boot which was raised.
It was good to be able to put him in his place, but it pisses you off that this was the only thing he could think off.

Just twigged, the bugger was probably having a private joke, he does drive a German car not a Porsche mind you, but he does look like and remind me of Colonel Klink, he can create humour with a real straight face.
