Anyone other PHers going? Racing, spectating or otherwise...

Got my tickets through this morning and I'm travelling up to Norfolk on Sunday with my brother. Hoping for a decent entry and considerably better weather than the Donington round we went to a few weeks ago!

We will be there, car no: 8, trying very hard to put in a reasonable performance, sounds like the grid could be as high as 28 and the weather should be good as well come and see us, always nice to see a fellow Pistonheader.

29 now Rod - The list was updated last night with Maxspeed Engineering Toyota Supra entered in the Invitation Class.

Be good to see you there Trackspeed, I'll be running around after drivers for quotes and hiding out in the Media Centre.

Don't forget if you are there on Saturday to join us for the Sport Relief Mile (Except Rod and Jan who have come up with some lame excuse - something about being too old - not to do the run!!) on the circuit after track action has finished.

Jan and I have said we would do it on a pit bike if that helps

We will see how we feel on the day and if we feel fit enough we'll sponsor one another for a tenner but having just got out of the habit of being back markers, we will insist on a quarter mile head start

I will be there too, can't wait and I'm secretly hoping for rain as I prefer the wet races. Sorry guys!

The noise is the thing that really struck me of the panoz at Le Mans!

I'm looking forward to seeing the Ascaris. Saw them in the (very wet) FIA GT3 race earlier in the year at Silverstone where they were quick but troubled. It'll be interesting to see how they fare against the Porsches, Exiges and Astons.

L100NYY, don't pray for rain please! I seem to recall you were at the Donington round where it hoofed it down pretty much all day. I was gonna come and say hello but I could only see your Jag, sans pilot...

What'll you be in on Sunday?

Yeah sorry about that we were nice and dry sitting in the Jag and made a dash for the start/finish straight during the dry spells!

I will be in a new red Elise with white stripes hopefully with the roof on to save myself from getting wet!

What a weekend! Out on top of a tower at Coram both days getting quietly fried!

G/f got a trip round the track on the Saturady afternoon in the Ascari (thanks Ketmit) and some of the racing was top draw. The histerics were poorer for the lack of the Team 44 Aston (where were you boys?) but although the Fezza ran away in both the GT races (including one pit lane to win on the Saturday) there were only a couple of the races which left a little to be desired and the Carterham race at the end of today was only decided on the final corner!

Cracking day out in the sunshine (although, getting up at 6am and then getting back home around 8.45pm made it a very long day!). Excellent racing as always with this F3/BGT package. VW Cup, FFord and Caterham races were superb. The headline events weren't fantastic but the GT cars are always spectacular in my eyes, especially when they're attacking the Russell Chicane.

Ben, nice to meet you, even if it was at the petrol station on the way home! Maybe next time we'll see each other at the circuit itself. Luurvley car BTW...even it hasn't got aircon

Was too engrossed in the racing to tear myself away for too long to say hi, so, Rod and Randy, how did your races go? From where my brother and I were at Russell it looked quite slippery due to all the rubber and marbles that were deposited.

Anyway, took over 600 pictures in all from the day's races (and the line-up of gorgeous road-going machinery that was parked up around the place) so I may be a tad busy sorting those out for a while! Will post up anything decent ASAP.

Nice to meet you to young sir, and we were a tad warm on the way home especially when we got stuck in all that traffic on the A11!

The day was absolutely superb, racing in all the classes was as close as you could ever want it to be and the noise of that Panoz really did bring back memories of Le Mans. Pure stuff.

Highlight for me had to be the Caterham's at the end of the day, you can always count on these guys to entertain! +

My races were not too good unfortunately. The gearbox mount let go after about three laps in the first race so I resorted to limp home mode and the car gave in soon after handing over. The second race we had clutch problems hindering our pace and then a CV joint let go Still, we were faster than expected and, as qually showed, we had real pace at a power circuit which is good news for us. Promising for the future.

Much the same for us, In race one we had a drive shaft go after 3 laps and in race two, the handling was sooo bad that I went off into the fields on the first lap, lost the splitter, which nevers helps, then played catch up, went off a few more times, stuffed the clutch, and handed over a difficult car to Jan. He had much the same problems but did well to bring her home 9th in class. Overall we had a fun weekend but felt that with the right set up we could have done better, as it is just not possible to be driver error

Ours, on the other hand, was our best of the year... If it hadn't been for that pesky extra 15 seconds at the pit stop (and a power deficit) we'd have beaten the Panoz. Messers Hines and Kimber-Smith were more than a little surprised to find Phil constantly snapping at their heels.

Couldn't help grinning at that orange beetle that had ploughed through the maize field at Riches. He was covered in it. Looked like fancy-dress!
