Corno, you have been bluffing about the knockers in the Alma for more than a year now, i don't mind if you have to HIRE some knockers, but i expect serious things from you and i know i am not alone in that!!

The Cross Inn doesn't sell any good beer - it didn't last time I was there. No matter; I can meet you there - I'll just have to go to the Alma another day. I was so hoping to meet the 'knocker'!

Whilst The Cross Inn is OK, I'll see if I can think of anywhere nearby that's as easy to get to and then get back onto the main road - which is unlikely.

If you like old buildings, good beer and lovely girls, you could make a small detour and meet up at a 14th century inn I often go to. Good British beer, several lagers, lovely Lithuanian girls behind the bar.
