Advise please.

I am in the process of removing the dashboard from my S3. for re-veneering.

How are the heater control knobs best removed? Are they just a push fit?

There's also www.london-carriage-craft.com - but I haven't seen any of their work, so cannot comment on how good it is, or the cost.

Andrew,

Would also be interested to know how you get on. Only quote I've had so far was from Tower View and was the wrong side of 600 beer tokens I'm trying to do the same but can't get beyond getting any part of my dashbaord off ! Even the Bible is a little bit vague on the location of screws (sorry Steve). Have you had to remove the whole lot to get the heater control panel off?

removing the heater control was one of the hardest bits when i done mine.there are two bolts to remove from the rear of the panel.the control is pushed in from the front and held in place by two ] shaped brackets.you will also have to undo the wires as well.not too much in it but it is very fiddley. made an aluminium panel for mine and bonded it to the origional steel plate after removing the old vineer.there was also a guy advertising in the classified section who makes the panels in alu.hope this helps,cheers
on mine the main panel bolts locations were;
left and right side of glovebox, right of heater controle,two at the right of the rev counter
although i believe this could be different depending on who was making it.the whole dash should'nt have to come out.
