De Cats !

How much louder does it make it and would anyone not recomend that I fit of de-cats to my sports exhaust, does it damage the engine in any form, if you have any suggestions I'd be pleased to know, cheers, Chris.

have a search of the forum for de cat, there's plenty of discussion on this. i've mine de-catted and sleeved. love it.

Makes no difference to power or running of the car, as far as I know. The noise tends to be different only when pushed, at which point it is awesome!!!!

A decat on sports exhasust is obvious even at idle (IMHO). It is even more obvious at overrun etc.... Go for induction mods as well then you can scare animals, kids and old people 3 miles away.

Thats it then, I've just had the 12k service and a full new set of protech's, handles better than ever, my garage wants me to take it in to check the geometry once the shocks have settled down (@300miles), they said that will fit the de-cat pipes for me then, they are defo going on, just want more noise and grunt, cheers lads, safe driving !!!
