TVR has not been sold...

To all TVR owners, enthusiasts, fans and followers, this is a one-off post and no replies or further posts will be undertaken.
Following my recent interviews with Evo magazine and The Sun newspaper, in which I stated my ongoing commitment to TVR and my ambitions for it, I wish to confirm that I remain focused on the company and on making it a global success.
Amidst rumours that I may have sold the company, I deny categorically that this is the case, and also that there are any plans or negotiations underway for the company's sale.
My company and I wish to extend our invitation to you all to visit us on the TVR stand at the British International Motor Show, which is at ExCeL, London, from Thursday 20 July until Sunday 30 July.

I suppose what you have to ask yourself is whether that was written by someone with Russian as a first language (and yes, I know he was educated in the UK too).
How about the use of the word 'post'. Definately not a common word, and only really used by people who frequent forums.

It reads like someone who has English as a first language but is trying too hard to sound business-like and official. You don't "undertake" a reply, you "make" it. "Myself" doesn't invite you, "I" invite you.

I know people that can write English better than wot I can, and they don't speak it as a first language!
When talking, however, you can hear their accent....
Besides, a guy like that will have a PA or PR department to write it for him.........

The NW Enquirer said "A product of Britain’s public school system, Smolenski junior served as chairman of his father’s bank before paying an estimated £15m for TVR.".
So that could explain his ability to read/write english. I'd be interested to know which came first - the web site or the PH post!
