993 windscreen washers
Discussion
Thought this may be of some use to you:
Last winter the windscreen washers on the 993 stopped working. A trip to the garage diagnosed a broken switch. " The washer/wiper control and indicator come as one unit sir, its £200 plus VAT and fitting". Great. As a last resort (while waiting for the ordered part to arrive) took off the rubber seal around the arm on the steering column and soaked the contacts in WD40. Hey presto, working perfectly ever since. The downside for the garage was that their ordered part was non-refundable and I'd not paid for it. Shame.
One for the memory-banks guys, just in case.
