Ultima Owners
I feel that I'm getting a bit too old to squeeze under the instrument panel to make any adjustment or changes to the pedals or hydraulic cylinders.
Have any of you thought of, or have actually installed an inspection panel over the pedal area. It could be about 6" by 14" and would be on the curved area right behind the vertical panel that rivets to the alloy/frame section.
I've installed many such panels on aircraft, and it could be done quite neatly using aluminum or the GRP piece that's removed.
Would appreciate your thoughts because we're just about ready to permanentley install the center section.
Thanks
Jack

If you fit a remote adjuster for the brake bias then there should be little other reason to be upside down in the footwell. Having said that, your proposed hatch will work and should not be a problem as I doubt the body is stuctural.

Great idea. Your probably going to reinforce the edges with an alloy strip.

Yes, riveted underneath and extended out for about 3/8" for the hatch to lay into and attach to.

Just employ a small child to do it for you.

We use them all the time over here in the UK (although we usually use them for cleaning our chimneys).

A tip though. Tie a piece of rope rount their ankle, to stop them from getting lost.

Hope this helps.
