I've set up a mailing list for folk wishing to recover their fines and points. The following email addresses apply:

You must subscribe before you can post a message.

Obviously we need to tell people about this so they can share information. Spread the word.

Unfortunately the local news is saying that noone is eligable for refunds or points removed, can't remember who they said decided this, but some judge has. Any news on this Paul?

I haven't heard that - but it's typical of legal posturing by a side with plenty to lose. In other words they were bound to say that.

I just listened to BBC Radio Cleveland 5pm news (via the web) and they aren't carrying such a story. Where did you hear it?

local breakfast news carried the story. They said courts had been inundated with request for refunds and points to be removed but had refused as it was not down to them to refund etc.

They did mention the words "court ruled" but I wasn't particularly listening so didn't catch the context. I only pricked my ears up when I heard £60 and three points

There may be a little more process than "asking" for a refund.

As malman said, it was on the local Look North, it was one of their first stories. Interestingly, I can't find the story anywhere. I'm guessing if you download yesterday's lunch time Look North it might be on there

Bump for the weekend.

Motorists convicted in Cleveland need to see the first post in the thread.
