I was wondering if anyone who has knowledge of the best way to get my foot in the door of the contract hire and leasing business. I have spoken to people like network and they say they want previous history of being in the car industry.

I am looking for someone who could act as a consultant and advice accordantly

Thanks

Khushy, thanks.

2qb; I am always pleased to help, too. This industry is full of useless idiot companies, suppliers and finance houses. With energy and determination you can make a success of anything. Getting started and trusted is hard. I suggest finding a good local dealer to work with and selling their deals, that they CAN get through their franchise but they probably ignore.

Send me detailed email, and I'll send you detailed reply.

I used to work for www.plancars.com/ in Newcastle

They have gotten a few more shops since I was with them but if you contact James at the Newcastle branch he should be able to tell you about that company.

2gb, what about going into a franchised dealer and working in the corporate sales department for a couple of years? Failing that, try someone like TC Harrison ( www.tchbl.co.uk/ ) They are a fantastic and very professional company that we use for Contract Hire and the like.
