God's tits, thirty-nine years on this paltry boring planet. So what does my mate buy me? A bootle of fine Cognac, perhaps, or a tureen of cigars? How about a Pistonheads fleece, or a calendar featuring Philipa Forrester mud-wrestling pythons? Mayhap a set of OZ 5-spoked split-rims to adorn the TVR, or at the very least a full set of Britool combination spanners and an EVT-2000 torque wrench? Perhaps, tongue-in-cheek, a glossy coffee-table tome featuring fast cars like the Subaru Imprezza that he owns, or AA membership?

Nope. None of the above. He bought me some dice. The kind that one suspends from one's rear-view mirror. The kind of rear-view-mirror-suspended dice that plug into the cigar lighter and illuminate... in a fetching shade of blue.

Luckily, I have a sense of humour. For his birthday I'm going to rig up a fake GATSO photo of his car.... (Windsor Davies Mode ON)

I'm up and have 23 years till I'm 40, so we/I can hack it, but that's only because I've got into a routine.

Aside that, Happy Birthday Wedg1e

A very happy birthday to you Wedg1e.

Mine's in 10 days, and if anyone's interested, I'd really like a set of lovely shiny Allen Keys

Cheers guys (and guyesses )

Off to the pub for lunch with me Julie, then a stroll around the hills to work it off.

AndySa: odd that. I got one of those benches a few borthdee's back... I got rid of the wife, that solved the problem!

Rude: do you want those keys with or without ball ends?

Graham: funnily enough I may well be down your way tomorrow: will give you a shout if I have time for a jar!

Regards (hic)
