need heads for 2,8l cologne engine

hi. i´m driving a 1981---2,8l tasmin...recently bought from UK (i´m from germany). as the engine isnt converted to unleaded and the valve clearances had been nearly 0, i think its time to get an additional set of heads. wether "old"-serviceable ones, 2nd hand unleaded ones from later models, or already converted ones. can anybody offer me something? thanx in advance for your help, ax

You just need to find a Ford Sierra V6 from 85-onwards, they had the unleaded heads you need.

thats a good idea....but: arent these V6 engines 2,9litre? does the head fit on the 2,8?

The 2.9 litre engine came in with the mark II sierra around 1988-89 I think.

the heads from a 2.9 willnot fit a 2.8 and if you are thinking of changeing the engine y dont u put the v6 cosworth engine in
if you wish to stick with the 2.8 the engine you wont is the later one with the internal torks head bolts

Hi Micha,
I have a low mileage 2.8 engine for sale. Genuine 39000 miles and according to Steve Heaths book it is an unleaded version, it has an E on the exhaust manifold flange.
Drop me an e-mail if you are interested. Not sure how I would get the engine to Hungary though!

What route will you be taking to get to Beaulieu? If you are coming via Dover then you will be very close to me as I live in East Kent about 40km from Dover.
The price depends upon how many of the ancilliaries you want with the engine.
