..... Interesting article in Total 911 about these, and I reached the end expecting to see the price of the modifications, but nothing.

Is it too expensive to print?

What's the cost if combined with a normal top-end rebuild? - 350-odd HP from my varioram sounds mighty tempting.

Just found this :

We are currently offering a 350bhp kit comprising of the head/cam/spring kit package at £5995 for the 964, 993 & 993RS engines. Answering specific questions on how to achieve this level of power with the 993 the total cost of the fitted package including the 100 cell (N-GT style) cats, misc parts (gaskets, oil, etc) and the labour to screw it all together is just over £10k + taxes.

ummmm

And their supercharger kit is around £7k fitted. I suppose it depends how you like your power - crisp revvy N/A or torquey F/I.

I understand there is a sort of halfway house, without the billet heads, giving ~320 bhp for about 5K.

Ninemeister posted about it (and the other options) a few weeks ago, so a search should find it.

[sarcasm]Wow, 35bhp for £5k[/sarcasm]

When you can get 120bhp and 140lbft for £10k i don't understand why you'd do that...

Ric gets the gold star

Cyberface's s'charged 993 is great though, good grunt for sensible money and fantastic noise.

Well maybe, but that's not really comparing like for like.

If you want to stay NA then more power is going to cost ... if its available at all.

Think i'd go for the supercharger over and above anything else on an n/a 993. Or go the other way and lose weight instead (spare wheel, back seats, sound deadening, etc.).

Heck, if you lose enough sound deadening you'll think you're going 30mph faster anyway

Pah

Still as I say - thought the whole point was to keep a normally aspirated engine.

Well no offence to anyone who has done this, but i don't really see the point...

I switched back to n/a from turbo because of the noise, and alex's supercharger still sounds like n/a but goes better and costs less than a turbo.

I would have thought the re-map and 100 cell cats was worth a punt.
