Blower fan?

looking in the hanbook my 1996 500 should have a blower fan in the drivers side footwell area with a switch up under the steering column area.
I cant find the offening switch anywhere, only a switch for the panel instrument lights, was this fan optional extra??
as far as I can tell the normal heaterfan is located on the passengerside near the battery somewhere, but this other fan is for cold air only for the footwells and dash vents, would certainly come in handy this time of year!
anyone else missing this one??

Not noticed such a switch in mine either. I presume it's an early 1996 thing and mine is late 96. (Build date is 11/96)

Try on the right hand side of the underside of the dash. Mine's not far from the bonnet pull. A 3 speed circular dial.

They dont all have them,and seem to have been phased out around 95/96,though perhaps they were an option after this?My '95 500 chim had one,my '96 griff didn't.I was at one time told they were std on all 500's,but if that was the case it could only have been before '96?

My current(2000) griff doesnt have one either,i have to say i was pleased to have it on the chim.I've wondered in the past how easy it would be to retro fit this.60MAXX has done a great job installing an exra fan in his,under the o/side headlight,it's on the griff pages if your interested.
