Boo won't make it this year. Mix up with the free tickets (invite lost in post) and I really should be working on the landy for next weekend.

If anyone else can't make it motors TV will be showing it live I think.

Looks like its gonna be a scorcher on Sunday round croft area so plenty sun cream on boys and girls

Hope you have a lovely time

Hi, new to the forums but noticed the croft post, my dad and I will be heading up on Sunday, intending to bring the aston - very low front spoiler...worried about it hitting the ground in the parking field we got put in last year...any advice on how we can avoid??? Cheers.

How was the racing?

You certainly had the weather for it, just wished I was able to come along, but was getting paid for a full 12 hour shift and only worked 2 hours. You'd be a fool to turn down overtime like that.

I suppose it would be funny watching racing on a track you've driven on, you'll be able to envisage everything the drivers seeing.

Racing was great, three BTCC runs, lots of pitlane girls and lovely sunshine (a bit too hot actually). The Clio Cup drivers thought it's a contact sport, five of them off in every direction just after Chicane on the back straight, right where I was sitting.

Managed to get to the end of the pit straight for the first Clio race. Superb! (Another Simple Pleasure)

Best of all, the Wee Beastie's new fan wiring and coolant did the job spectacularly. No explosions! Ahh, the sight of a steady 89 degrees......

Watched bits of it on motors tv in between bouts of fixing on the TVR and the landy. Looked like some close racing to close at times. Wasted my weekend though as I discovered more to do on the landy and the TVR greeted me with an oily puddle on the garage floor this morning

You know I could go off cars at this rate

Nahh

And all the flies you could eat !

It's nice to see a big BTCC grid again (20 cars?) but what the hell has happened to the Clio Cup? The grid was almost empty.

That would be the two accidents on the first lap. Everyone trying to win the race at the first corner.

According to MST there was only 1 DNF in each of saturday & sunday's races. 14 cars started each race and i'm sure the grids were bigger last year.

I was watching from the infield for sunday's Clio race and the grid definitely looked smaller than last year.
