Well after a year without a TVR and nearly two years since parting with my S3 I'm delighted to announce that I have returned from the dark side and re-found the light...

I've just bought Harry W's V8S. A very fine machine it is too! After driving back along the M27 for a while getting re-accustomed to the S's go kart like handling and ride, I let the revs climb and worked through the gears. Suffice to say it does not hang around! I thought my old modified 4 litre Chim was quick but it would not have stayed with this beast.

I would like to thank Harry for his honesty and patience with me when I came to originally view the car together with his general helpfulness. ( He even explained how to fix the throttle pedal when it went floppy). Promise I'll look after her and once I've given her a thorough scrub (metaphorically) tomorrow I will keep her sparkly clean (just like Harry did) . Best of luck with the new Cerb (and engine) and hope you get to drive it asap.

Looking forward to participating again in the excellent advice and banter that I remember so well. I hope you can all forgive my absence.

Best regards to all,

Pookie.

Hope you half as much fun as I have had with it over the last 4.5 years . Let no one tell you otheriwse they are all on-going projects, the two folders of bills are a testiment too it .
I liked that story about your favourite up hill chugg that the 'modified and breathed on' Chim could get to x-mph by the top and you gave up in the V8S 2/3's of the way up when you already exceeded x-mph and thought of your licence .

Well done on the purchase, having convoyed with Harry for the past 4 years or so i reckon it has to be one of the quickest RV8 out there 500`s included, i`m glad someone has bought it on the mechanical spec as apposed to being shiny, Harry has looked after it i can confirm that, good luck
