Anybody got one, and if so, what're your thoughts?

Skype type. It appears Tesco are currently doing a large marketing campaign for their free call facility - I'd presume it's the same thing?

IIRC the Tesco one is similar to Skype but not compatible. You can't call Skype users for free from Tesco & vice versa.

I use Skype, and have Skype Out (I can call any landline or mobile from about 1 Euro cent per min) I also have SkypeIn (I have an 0208 number that rings my PC if I'm online, or diverts to my mobile if not online)

All works well, using either my bluetoth handsfree kit paired to my laptop, or a USB handset I got off eBay for £3.

If someone calls the old landline (which will become the braodband line) do they come through on the Skype phone or do you need a separate phone system to deal with the "old" number?

I have my normal home landline number, and then a separate "SkypeIn" number - I have an 020 8 number for that.

The landline works at all times, the SkypeIn number rings my PC when I'm online, and diverts to my mobile when I'm not,

Hope that helps
