Base to enjoy the best of Wales
Discussion
We enjoyed ownership of a TVR griffith 500 for 6 years from our home in South east wales.
I am sure we found some of the best driving to be had in the UK. Recently we had guests to stay at www.clearvewe.com who were taking part in the Welsh Dragon Big Blat, 180 miles of the finest Welsh roads over the Brecon Beacons, Epynt moors and through the Elan Valleys. Both Scenic and exhilarating.
I thought I would let you guys know we now exist so if any of you fancy a short break from a base where you can really enjoy your car on some of the best driving in the UK, you know where to come.
Many thanks

Thanks, but due to the behaviour of South Wales and North Wales Police we've taken the decision not to holiday in Wales - clearly we're unwelcome.
I recently stayed in Brecon for a few nights and had great fun on the roads, there are loads of B and unclassified roads that will never see a speed camera/talivan (remember the way SCP are financed), and there was very little traffic.
Try it for yourself, all you need is a large (ish) scale map.
Have fun

Rhayader would be an ideal base as it would give you the opportunity to do some of the great B roads to the north and south as well as the Afan Valley road to Devils Bridge which is sensational. You are also not too far from North Wales and could go and do things like the EVO triangle etc.
As has been mentioned very few (if any) of these roads are frequented by camera vans so you are pretty safe.
